Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev won his initial championship for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult year, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has steadily improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's initial championship since the Rome competition and first on a hard surface after spring of that year.
Success also means Medvedev has achieved 21 victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a title is really nice," said ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I won when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, including in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive approach and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had caused some to wonder if his capacity to play at the top level was over.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play positively, supported by an better serve.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, winning 4 of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour title, took control to create a third set.
Moutet saved 4 early break points in a competitive final set before the champion won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner secured victory with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
